The floor opens in the evening and runs late, with a live orchestra, food stalls and parking on site. The dates and the hours for each run are on the home page.

The ground is laid out in zones. A zone decides where you stand and what the ticket costs; every zone comes through the same entrance and sees the same floor and the same performance.

There are three passes, and all of them work the same way at the door:

• A One Day Pass admits one person for one evening.
• A Season Pass is a card carrying entries for the whole run, spendable on any night.
• A Couple Pass is the season card for two.

You book on this site and pay through the payment gateway. The ticket arrives by email within a few minutes, carrying a code and a link to your own ticket page.

At the venue, the ticket counter scans that code once per ticket and hands over an NFC card. The card is what opens the gate — tap it and walk in. A day card is taken back as you go through; a season or couple card stays with you for the run.

Your ticket page always shows how many cards are still to collect, so a group can split up and nobody has to count.

A code on a phone has to be read off a screen in the dark, in a queue, with a flat battery somewhere behind you. A card is a tap. The entry is spent on the server as the card touches the phone at the gate, so a photographed or forwarded ticket cannot be used twice.
